Arrrgh's 1-year anniversary of (semi-)regular broadcasting is coming up Saturday, March 20. That date is also the 1-year anniversary of the US war in Iraq. This isn't coincidental since it was this event that kicked the Kaptain's ass into making telecasts more regular.

The Arrrgh 'casted every evening for several weeks, until the main fighting was mostly over and Baghdad fell.

There are anniversary protests planned all over the world for Saturday, and we're hoping there will be some audio webstreams we can pick up and bring to our listeners.

Continuing with a little Arrrgh history -- the station has existed in some form since about 2000, broadcasting mostly during major global protest actions, and the coronation of King George the W. Last year broadcasting became a little more regular with the acquisition of better equipment, running up to the Iraq war.
