Media Democracy Day is just over a week away, on Oct. 17. Stephen Dunifer of Free Radio Berkeley has called for a day of Mass Electronic Civil Disobedience to celebrate Media Democracy Day, by helping people get transmitters and get on the air.

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like too many workshops or other organizing has gone on -- at one point there was even talk of a mass coordinated nationwide broadcast, with different stations taking over an hour or so of the day and everyone else picking up the feed.

Even without the nationwide broadcast, we here at Free Radio Arrrgh will bring an evening of programming dedicated to the ideas and ideals of media democracy, expressed through free radio.

More details to come...
